Comprehensive Land Use Plan

The Town of Deerfield is considering final passage of the updated Comprehensive Land Use Plan including a new Transfer of Development Policy. There will be a public hearing at the Planning Commission Meeting on March 2, 2020 where a resolution to the Town Board for adoption will be considered. The Town Board will consider action on an ordinance to adopt the plan at a regular monthly meeting on March 9, 2020. All interested parties are invited to attend.

 

Final Draft – Comprehensive Land Use Plan

The Town of Deerfield website now contains the final draft of the Town of Deerfield Comprehensive Land Use Plan. This final draft includes a proposed policy for the transfer of development rights. Residents and interested parties can find the proposed plan under the notices and posting category along with the timeline of public meetings to be held before final adoption. A public open house will be held on February 11, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. at the Deerfield Community Center where the planners, Vandewalle & Associates, will be available to answer any questions. The Town Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on March 2, 2020 at 6 p.m. at the Deerfield Community Center for reviewing purposes and the Town Board will hold a public hearing at the regular monthly meeting at the Deerfield Community Center at 7 p.m., March 9, 2020 for reviewing purposes before final adoption. All interested residents and concerned parties are encouraged to attend.
